Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY — Junior Andrew Earley, sophomore Gavin Albrecht, and freshman Sadie Marshall were double-winners, but the Tioga boys and girls both dropped decisions to Newfield here Wednesday afternoon in IAC South Small School Division track & field action.

BOYS
Newfield 75.5, Tioga 49.5

Earley won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 16.75 seconds, while junior Ryan Chamberlain was second at 18.62 seconds, and freshman Elijah Bellis was third at 20.0 seconds.

Earley also won the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:02.6, and sophomore James Miller was second in 1:07.5.

Albrecht won the long jump with a leap of 18-feet, 2 1/4-inches, and sophomore Brady Landmesser was third at 15-feet 8 3/4-inches. Landmesser also finished third in the triple jump at 34-feet, 8 1/2-inches.

Albrecht teamed with seniors Valentino Rossi and Brock Stauder, and junior Jonah Lamb teamed to win the 400-meter relay in 46.4 seconds.

Junior Kameron Joyce won the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.15 seconds, and sophomore Gavin Albrecht was third in 26.35 seconds.

Rossi was second in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.62 seconds, and Albrecht was third at 11.75 seconds. Rossi also placed third in the high jump.

Freshman Caden Rapp was seconding the 800-meter run in a time of 2:46.65.

Junior Austin Babcock finished second in the discus with a toss of 91-feet, 11-inches, and senior Josh Benjamin-Doyle was third at 87-feet, 10-inches.

Sophomore Talon Wood finished third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:01.1, and Benjamin-Doyle placed third in the shot put with a mark of 31-feet, 9-inches.

GIRLS
Newfield 71, Tioga 42

Marshall won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 19.0 seconds. She also won the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:21.31.

Junior Erica Bradley won the 1,500-meter run in a time of 6:11.8. Bradley finished second in the 800-meter run in a time of 3:05.32, and freshman Kendall Ward was third at 3:29.0.

Eighth-grader Vida Rossi won the long jump with a leap of 16-feet, 1/2-inch, and sophomore Ava Smolinsky was second at 14-feet, 6 1/2-inches

Vida Rossi placed second in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.5 seconds. Rossi also placed second in the 200-meter dash in 28.28 seconds, and Smolinsky was third in 29.5 seconds.

Senior Allie Creller won the discus with a toss of 71-feet, 6-inches. She finished second in the shot put with a mark of 21-feet, 9 1/2-inches.

Tioga returns to action Tuesday when it hosts S-VE, Candor, Union Springs, and Southern Cayuga.
