WOMEN'S COLLEGE GOLF: WAVERLY GRAD PICCO MAKING IMPACT AT WILKES (2024-04-14)

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Waverly grad Gianna Picco, a senior on the Wilkes University women’s golf team, hasn’t played competitive golf since her junior year in high school, but it hasn’t taken her long to make an impact as a first-year player for the Colonels.

Picco, who has been second on the team three of the four matches she played, shot a career-best round of 88 to help Wilkes to wins over King’s College, and FDU-Florham on Saturday.

Wilkes, now 4-1, on the spring returns to action Saturday when it hosts Misericordia.
