THE VALLEY — Sayre and Waverly host baseball and softball games Monday to highlight a busy slate of action that also features the Tioga boys golf team playing its second home match at Shepard Hills.

BASEBALL
Sullivan County (1-2) at Sayre (1-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off a 20-4 loss to Athens Tuesday, while the Griffins dropped a 13-12 slugfest at CMVT.

Tioga (3-0) at Groton (0-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers, who had two games with Newfield rained out last week, are coming off a 14-3 win over Harpursville Tuesday, while the Indians dropped a 12-4 decision to Newark Valley Tuesday.

Chenango Forks (5-2, 3-2 STAC Central) at Waverly (8-0, 7-0), 5 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 20-9 win over previously-unbeaten South Williamsport Saturday, while the Blue Devils have been since posting wins over Lansing (14-10), and Little Falls (19-11) on April 7 at the Lumber Yard High School Classic at Cortland.

SOFTBALL
Sullivan County (3-0) at Sayre (1-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off an 11-7 loss at Notre Dame Thursday, while the Griffins topped Sugar Valley Rural Charter, 13-3.

Sayre’s only two wins last season came against Sullivan County.

Tioga (1-0) at Groton (0-4), 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers have been off since a 12-1 season-opening win over Newfield last Monday, while the Indians dropped a 14-2 decision to Newark Valley Friday.

Chenango Forks (3-3, 2-1 STAC Central) at Waverly (2-2, 2-0), 5 p.m.: The Wolverines have been off since a 14-12 home loss Wednesday to Elmira, while the Blue Devils edged Seton Catholic, 1-0, Saturday.
