NORWICH — Norwich swept all six matches in straight sets for a 6-0 win over Waverly here Monday afternoon in STAC tennis action.

Senior Hayden Larson had the most competitive singles match for the Wolverines, dropping a 6-1, 6-3 decision to Kristopher Duell in second singles, while Nathan McEwen lost a 6-1, 6-2 decision to Vinny Lawson in fourth singles.

In doubles action, Carsyn Sinsabuagh and Kagen Wilson lost 6-2, 6-4 to Norwich’s Jeff Terry and Jacob Lobdell in second doubles, and Ava Heath and Magenta Stanton dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Matt Hall and Jason Lian in first doubles.

In exhibition, Waverly’s Aromal TheckeparamyilGith topped Norwich’s Nathan Strauch 7-6 via a 9-7 tiebreaker.

Waverly, now 0-5, returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Chenango Valley.
