Valley Sports Report
TIOGA CENTER — Tioga scored early and often, pounding out 21 hits in support of sophomore RaeAnne Feeko’s 1-hitter in a 23-1 four-inning win over Newark Valley here Monday afternoon in IAC South Large School baseball action.

The Tigers poured 11 runs across the plate in the bottom of the first, and added seven more in the second inning to extend the lead to 18-0.

Feeko rapped out four hits to help her own cause, including a triple, scored four runs, and had two RBI, and junior McKenzie Williams had four hits, including two doubles, four runs scored, and two RBI to lead Tioga at the plate, while senior Emily BIdwell had three hits, two runs scored, and four RBI.

Junior Erin Luther doubled twice, scored three runs, and had three RBI in the win, while sophomore Emily Shiner singled twice, scored three runs, and drove in four runs, sophomore Lily Mezzatesta tripled and doubled, scored three runs, and had three RBI, and freshman Vanessa Tunnicliff singled twice, scored two runs, and knocked in one run.

Seniors Megan Vance and Elizabeth Shaffer each singled, scored one run, and drove in two runs for the Tigers.

Feeko was the beneficiary of the offensive onslaught, allowing one run on one hit, while striking out 11 and walking five in five innings of work.

Tioga, now 8-2, returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Southern Cayuga — weather permitting.
