Brayden Horton, a sophomore on the Liberty University baseball team, hit his team-high 11th home run Friday, and had four RBI in four games this week for the Flames.
On Wednesday, Liberty beat Virginia Tech, 13-8. Horton was 1-for-3 with a double, one run scored, and two RBI. He was also hit by a pitch for a team-high 12th time this season.
On Friday, in a 5-2 loss to Dallas Baptist, Horton homered, scored one run, and had two RBI.
The Flames were swept by Dallas Baptist on Saturday - by scores of 4-3 and 5-1. Horton was 1-for-7 in the twinbill.
On the season, Horton is hitting .300 (42 hits in 140 ABs) with 31 runs scored, six doubles, one triple, a team-high 11 home runs, and 38 RBI, which is second on the team. He also has one stolen base.
He has walked 19 times, and been hit by pitches 12 times for a .424 on-base percentage. He also has a .593 slugging percentage, and a 1.017 OPS.
Liberty, now 22-29, will play Wake Forest Tuesday.
