THE VALLEY - Athens baseball and softball close out the regular season Tuesday at home against Canton in the only games in the Valley.

BASEBALL
Canton (14-5) at Athens (8-11), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 12-4 loss to Edison Monday that officially eliminated them from playoff contention, while the Warriors dropped a 9-0 decision to Montoursville.

Sayre (5-11) at Towanda (5-12), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off their sixth consecutive loss — an 11-2 setback against Troy Monday, while the Black Knights topped Cowanesque Valley, 5-2, snap a three-game losing streak.

SOFTBALL
Canton (4-14) at Athens (11-7), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 10-0 win over Tioga Monday, while the Warriors dropped a 16-3 decision to Towanda.

This is the last game currently on the schedule, but the Wildcats are entertaining the possibility of adding a game.

Sayre (3-12) at Towanda (10-8), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off a 19-1 loss to Northeast Bradford, while the Black Knights blasted Canton, 16-3.
