TIOGA CENTER — Tioga led wire-to-wire in an 11-4 win over SVEC in the semifinals of the IAC junior varsity softball championships here Tuesday afternoon.

The Tigers, now 12-2, will play the winner of today’s game between Lansing and Edison on Wednesday — weather permitting.

Lindsey Jeffrey and Adrienne Delmage had run-scoring singles in the bottom of the first inning to highlight a four-run rally that put the Tigers ahead 4-0.

The Eagles scored twice in the top of the second, but the Tigers answered with two runs on a triple by Delmage to make it 6-2.

SVEC closed the gap to 6-3 with a run in the top of the third, and it remained that way until the bottom of the fifth when Tioga took firm control with four runs to take a 10-3 lead. Kate Kithcart, Jeffrey, Delmage, and Sam Golden delivered hits in the rally.

Brianna Lounsbury added an RBI single in the sixth inning to stretch the Tioga lead to 11-3.

Jeffrey stroked three singles, and scored three runs, and Delmage had three hits, including a triple, to pace Tioga’s 10-hit attack.

Kithcart singled, and scored three runs in the win, while Lounsbury and Golden each singled and scored one run, Irie Lynch added a single, and Keaty and Peyton Russell each scored two runs.

Kithcart earned the win, allowing four runs on eight hits. She fanned 12 and walked one in seven innings of work.
