SECTION IV SOFTBALL: TOP-SEEDED TIOGA, WAVERLY WILL OPEN POSTSEASON PLAY AT HOME NEXT WEEK (2024-05-14)

THE VALLEY - Top-seeded Tioga and Waverly will open play at home next week in the upcoming Section IV playoffs.

CLASS C
Tioga, now 15-3, is the top seed, and will host the winner of opening-round game between eighth-seeded Marathon (8-11) and ninth-seeded Moravia (8-7) in the quarterfinals Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

Fourth-seeded Delhi (9-6) and fifth-seeded Greene (8-5) will square off in the quarterfinals.

At the bottom of the bracket, second-seeded Union Springs (13-1), hosts the winner of the game between seventh-seeded Southern Cayuga (6-8), and 10th-seeded Seton Catholic (1-13) in the quarterfinals, while third-seeded B-G (14-2) hosts sixth-seeded Notre Dame (4-13).

CLASS B
Waverly, now 10-7, is the fourth seed, and will host the winner of the opening-round match-up between fifth-seeded SVEC (11-4) and 12th-seeded Sidney (10-6) on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

At the top of the bracket, top-seeded Susquehanna Valley (16-3) hosts the winner of the opening-round contest between eighth-seeded Schuyler (9-5) and ninth-seeded Whitney Point (7-6) in the quarterfinals Tuesday.

At the bottom of the bracket, second-seeded Thomas A. Edison (14-3) hosts the winner of the opening-round game between seventh-seeded Windsor (10-8) and 10th-seeded Chenango Forks (8-10), while third-seeded Chenango Valley hosts the winner of the opening-round game between sixth-seeded Lansing (9-5) and 11th-seeded Oneonta (7-8) in the quarterfinals.
