SECTION IV TRACK & FIELD: ALBRECTH TIOGA'S TOP SEED AT STATE QUALIFIER; ROSSI COMPETING IN FOUR EVENTS (2024-05-28)
Valley Sports ReportENDICOTT - Sophomore Gavin Albrecht is the highest Tioga seed, and 8th-grader Vida Rossi will compete in four events here Wednesday and Thursday at the Section IV Track & Field State Qualifier.
Albrecht is the second seed in the pole vault with a seed mark of 13-feet, 9-inches.
Junior Andrew Earley is the sixth seed in the 110-meter hurdles with a seed time of 16.45 seconds, and freshman Elijah Bellis is 18th at 17.8 seconds.
Earley is also the sixth seed in the 400-meter hurdles with a seed time of 59.75 seconds.
GIRLSVida Rossi is the fourth-seed in the long jump with a seed mark of 16-feet, 8-inches, and sophomore Ava Smolinksy is the 18th seed at 15-feet, 2-inches.
Rossi is the 12th seed in the 200-meter dash with a seed time of 27.46 seconds, and the 13th seed in the 100-meter dash at 13.24 seconds.
Sadie Marshall 14th in the 100-meter hurdles with a seed time of 17.94 seconds. She is also the 14th seed in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:15.02
Rossi, Smolinsky, and Marshall, along with 7th-grader Grace Howey are the 14th seed in the 400-meter relay at a time of 53.64 seconds.
Action begins both days at 5 p.m.
