SECTION IV TRACK & FIELD: JOHNSON, CHANDLER TOP SEEDS IN THREE EVENTS AT STATE QUALIFIER (2024-05-28)

ENDICOTT - Seniors Ralph Johnson and Micah Chandler are the top two seeds in a pair of sprint events, and are on Waverly’s 4-by-100 relay that is seeded second here at Wednesday’s and Thursday’s Section IV Track & Field State Qualifier.

Johnson is the top seed in the 100-meter dash with a seed time of 10.7 seconds, and Chandler is the second seed at 11.08 seconds. Junior Kalen Keathley is the 17th seed at 11.52 seconds.

Johnson is the top seed in the 200-meter dash with a seed time of 21.86 seconds, and Chandler is the second seed at 22.29 seconds. Keathley is the fifth seed at 22.91 seconds, and senior Charlie Larrabee is the 18th seed at 23.97 seconds.

The 400-meter relay foursome of Johnson, Chandler, Keathley, and junior Xavier Watson is the second seed at 43.14 seconds.

Watson is the eighth seed in the high jump with a seed mark of 5-feet, 10-inches

Senior Jacob Benjamin is the 16th seed in the discus with a seed mark of 126-feet, 9-inches.

Senior Charlie Larrabee is the 22nd seed in the 400-meter run with a seed time of 54.85 seconds.

GIRLS
Sophomore Mira Kittle is the sixth seed in the pol vault with a seed mark of 9-feet. She is the 15th-seed in the 100-meter dash in a time of 18.1 seconds

The 3,200-meter relay team of senior Elizabeth Vaughn, junior Harper Minaker, sophomore Mackenzie Chamberlain, and freshman Makenzie Olmsted is the seventh seed at 10:50.32.

Sophomore Haley Larrabee is the ninth seed in the 400-meter run with a seed time of 1:03.73.

Senior Mackenzie LaForest is the 11th seed in the shot put with a seed mark of 31-feet, 1 1/4-inches.

The 1,600-meter relay foursome of Larrabee, seniors Davenport, and Caprice Haney, and 8th-grader Kaylin Twedt is the 12th seed with a seed time of 4:27.69. The same foursome is the 13th seed with a seed time of 53.15 seconds.

Makenzie Olmsted is the 15th seed in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:20.21.

Twedt is the 19th seed in the 100-yard dash in 13.43 seconds, and Haney is the 22nd seed in the high jump at 4-feet, 8-inches.

Action begins on both days at 5 p.m.
