SECTION IV TRACK & FIELD: EARLEY EARNS TIOGA'S ONLY PLACE-FINISH AT DAY 1 OF STATE QUALIFIER (14 PHOTOS) (2024-05-29) Valley Sports Report ENDICOTT - Junior Andrew Earley was Tioga’s only place-finisher here on Day 1 of the Section IV Track & Field State Qualifier.
Earley placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:00.19.
Earley also posted the fifth-fastest time in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles, clocking in at a time of 16.68 seconds, and will run in the finals Thursday.
Freshman Elijah Bellis finished 15th in the 110 hurdles in a time of 17.77 seconds
GIRLS Eighth-grader Vida Rossi finished 10th in the 200-meter dash in a time of 27.6 seconds. She was 17th in the 100-meter dash in 13.7 seconds
Freshman Sadie Marshall finished 21st in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 19.13 seconds. She was 23rd in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:23.07.
Rossi and Marshall teamed with sophomore Ava Smolinsky, and 7th-grader Grace Howey to finish 21st in the 400-meter relay in a time of 54.1 seconds.
