YOUTH SOFTBALL (12U): TIOGA BLANKS WAVERLY, 12-0, TO WIN TIOGA COUNTY 12U TOURNAMENT (24 PHOTOS) (2024-07-03)

TIOGA CENTER -- Tioga jumped head early, and scored a bunch of runs in support of Layla Robinson and Olivia Shugars, who combined on a 1-hitter, in a 12-0 win over Waverly in the championship game of the Tioga County 12U Softball Tournament.

Robinson fanned seven and walked seven in four innings of one-hit ball to earn the win, and Shugars struck out two of the three batters she faced in a perfect inning of relief.

Hailey Noe had three hits, including a home run, one run scored, and five RBI to pace Tioga’s eight-hit attack, while Danae Mosier doubled, scored two runs, and drove in two runs, and Taylor Sindoni singled, and had three RBI.

Alyvia Rifenburg singled and scored two runs in the win, while Robinson singled and drove in one run, Shugars singled, and scored one run, Aniyah Amerman scored a pair of runs, Kennadie Ulrich scored one run, and had one RBI, and Ally Carroll crossed the plate once.

Raygane Oakes had Waverly’s lone hit.
