Valley Sports Report
The 2024-2025 High School sports season is about to begin, and there will be a bit of a shake-up classification-wise in almost every sport, and it has a big impact on a couple Athens teams.

BOYS
FOOTBALL

There was a big shake-up in the classifications this past year.

In Class A, defending district champion South Williamsport moves up to Class 2A while semifinalist in Class 2A, Line Mountain, drops down to Class A. NP-Mansfield, Towanda, Troy, Wellsboro, Cowanesque Valley, and Wyalusing are in this classification.

No NTL team is in Class 3A, which features eight teams now with the district champion moving right to the state quarterfinals in 2024, and playing a preliminary in 2025.
