VALLEY SPORTS REPORT: ATHENS' DAVIDSON, SAYRE'S PELLICANO FIRST BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK" IN 2024-25 (August 25, 2024)

THE VALLEY — Athens sophomore Connor Davidson and Sayre senior Nick Pellicano are the first Valley Sports Report / Bishop Brothers Construction “Athletes of the Week” of the 2024-25 school year.

Davidson rushed for 116 yards and one TD on just 12 carries,, and also threw for 67 yards in Athens’ 26-13 loss at South Williamsport Friday.

Davidson also had two kick returns for 69 yards, and punt return for 9 yards.

Pellicano scored two TDs in the first 2 1/2 minutes of the game in Sayre’s loss at Troy.

Pellicano returned the opening kickoff 84 yards for a score, then caught a 79-yard TD pass from sophomore Karter Green.

Pellicano had two catches for 94 yards, and one TD.
