THE VALLEY — There are four events on the docket Thursday, including the second NTL golf match of the week, but the only home event has the Athens volleyball team hosting division rival Troy.

GIRLS SOCCER
Athens (1-0) at Towanda (0-1), 6 p.m.: The Wildcats rallied to win a 2-1 overtime decision at Wellsboro Tuesday, while the Knights were throttled, 8-0, by the defending NTL champs Troy.

VOLLEYBALL
Troy (0-1) at Athens (1-0), 5:30 p.m. JV start: The Wildcats opened the season with a sweep at Wyalusing, while the Trojans were swept at home by Williamson.

Sayre (0-1) at Wellsboro (1-0), 5:30 p.m. JV start: The Redskins were swept by Large School powerhouse North Penn-Liberty Tuesday, while the Hornets topped Canton,3-1.

GOLF
NTL Match #3 at Towanda Country Club, 1:30 p.m.: Athens, coming off its 18th straight league win, leads the NTL at 12-0, while Towanda is 10-2, and North Penn-Mansfeld is 8-4.

Sayre enters the match at 0-12.
