COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: ATHENS GRAD RYAN OFF TO STRONG START AT MUHLENBERG COLLEGE (2024-09-01)

CLAREMONT, Calif. — Athens grad Jenny Ryan, a sophomore  on the Muhlenberg College volleyball team, is off to a strong start, but the Mules were 0-3 here at the season-opening Pacific Coast Classic over the weekend.

In Muhlenberg’s season-opening 3-0 loss to Pomona-Pitzer Friday, Ryan recorded eight setter assists, three service points, including a pair of aces, a career-high seven digs, and one kill.

On Saturday, in a 3-1 loss to Occidental, Ryan had 24 assists, six digs, and four points.

Later in the day, in a 3-0 loss to Chapman College, Ryan had 16 assists, four digs, two points, including one ace, and one kill.

Muhlenberg returns to action Saturday at Delhi, where it will play Alfred State, and the host Broncos.
