NTL CROSS COUNTRY: SAYRE'S VANBENTHUYSEN PLACES 7TH IN TRI-MEET (2024-09-03)

WELLSBORO — Sayre’s Glen Vanbenthuysen finished seventh in an NTL cross country meet against Wellsboro and Canton here Tuesday afternoon.

Vanbenthuysen, Sayre’s lone runner in the meet clocked in at 24:36.66.

Canton topped Wellsboro, 26-30, led by Lawrence Halbforrester, who finished in a time of 18:41.1 — nearly 45 seconds faster than runner-up Max Macias (19:26.05) of Wellsboro.

JUNIOR HIGH
Sayre’s Jayden Sinsabaugh finished ninth in a time of 22:19.1 in the junior high race.

Wellsboro’s Kaci Kosek posted the top time in the meet at 13:35.2.

Sayre returns to action next Tuesday at Cowanesque Valley.
