STAC BOYS GOLF: WAVERLY FALLS TO UNBEATEN NORWICH (2024-09-16)

NORWICH — Waverly freshman shot a 45, but Norwich had five golfers shoot 45 or better in a 205-276 win here Monday afternoon in STAC boys golf action at Canasawacta Golf Course.

Berlin Bennett earned low-medal honors for the Purple Tornadoes (5-0), shooting a 35, while Matt Brunick fired a 39, Jacob Dowdall and Gavin Burrell each shot 43, and Julien Smith carded a 45.

Sophomore Daniel Fischer was second for the Wolverines with a 52, while junior Mac Talada shot a 58, and seniors Devyn  Kinney and Carson McIsaac each carded rounds of 60 and 61, respectively.

Waverly, now 0-4, hosts Chenango Forks Tuesday.
