IAC BOYS SOCCER: WHITNEY POINT ROLLS TO 10-3 WIN OVER TIOGA (20 PHOTOS) (2024-09-16)
Valley Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Whitney Point scored three goals in the first eight minutes of the game, and rolled to a 10-3 win over Tioga here Monday afternoon in IAC crossover boys soccer action at Haggerty Field.
Zak Miller, who scored the first two goals of the game in 3 1/2 minutes, Isaac Jordan each netted hat tricks for the Golden Eagles.
Jace Schanbacher scored two goals in 2 1/2 minutes for the Tigers, sandwiched around Miller’s third goal, to close the gap to 5-2 with 9 minutes remaining in the first half.
The Eagles scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the second half to open up a 7-2 advantage.
Senior Brady Landmesser, who also had an assist, scored Tioga’s final goal of the game with 27 minutes remaining.
Whitney Point had a 15-11 advantage in shots-on-goal, and a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
Tioga, now 0-6-1, returns to action Tuesday night at Odessa-Montour.
