THE VALLEY — Boys soccer at Athens and Waverly, and girls soccer and volleyball action at Tioga highlight a mid-size slate of action on Wednesday’s docket.

BOYS SOCCER
Towanda (4-3) at Athens (3-4-1), 5:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 4-1 win at Galeton Saturday, while the Black Knights edged NEB, 1-0, Thursday.

Owego (3-0) at Waverly (1-4), 7 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 10-0 loss at Seton Catholic Monday, while the River Hawks topped Chenango Valley, 3-1.

VOLLEYBALL
Dryden (0-3) at Tioga (3-0), 5 p.m. JV start: The Tigers are coming off a sweep of Watkins Glen, while the Purple Lions lost via sweep to Lansing.

GIRLS SOCCER
O-M (2-3) at Tioga (3-0), 6 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a 5-2 win over Newfield last Wednesday, while the Grizzlies dropped a 3-0 decision to Watkins Glen.

FIELD HOCKEY
Tioga (0-5) at Walton (2-3), 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a 9-0 loss to Windsor Saturday, while the Warriors lost 7-0 at Windsor Monday.

BOYS GOLF
Waverly (0-5) at Chenango Valley, 4 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 237-250 loss to Chenango Forks Tuesday, while the Warriors topped Owego, 260-273 last Tuesday.
