THE VALLEY — Waverly hosts Horseheads on the gridiron in Week 2, while Tioga plays at Chenango Forks. All four teams are unbeaten in the early-going of 2024.

FOOTBALL
Horseheads (2-0) at Waverly (2-0), 7 p.m.:
The Wolverines are coming off a 57-0 demolition of Binghamton in Week 1, while the Blue Raiders rolled over Norwich, 42-7.

Horseheads has scored 97 points in its first two games, while Waverly has allowed 3.

Waverly has scored 81 points in its first two games, while Horseheads has allowed 7.

Tioga (2-0) at Chenango Forks (2-0), 7 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a 31-20 win over Windsor, while the Blue Devils blanked Johnson City, 26-0.

Chenango Forks has outscored its two opponents 68-28, while Tioga has outscored its foes by a count of 58-26.

GIRLS SOCCER
Groton at Tioga (4-0), 4:30 p.m.:
The Lady Tigers are coming off a 4-1 win over O-M Wednesday.

Junior Sophia Haney scored her 35th career goal against O-M, tying Kara McDuffee’s school record.

FIELD HOCKEY
Owego (2-4) at Tioga (0-5), 7 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a 9-0 loss to Windsor Saturday, while the River Hawks lost 6-0 to Windsor Wednesday.

Owego blanked Tioga, 11-0, in the season-opener on Sept. 4.
