IAC VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA BOUNCES BACK WITH SWEEP OF EDISON (24 PHOTOS) (2024-09-25)

TIOGA CENTER — Tioga bounced back from its first loss of the season Monday, with a convincing sweep of Thomas A. Edison here Wednesday night in IAC volleyball action.

The Tigers, who dropped a five-set thriller at Trumansburg Monday, swept Edison by scores of 25-10, 25-17, and 25-6.

Alyson Chamberlain led Tioga with seven points, including two aces, eight kills, five blocks, and six digs, while Lily Mezzatesta had five points, four kills, one block, and two digs, and Audi Zorn had five points (two aces), one block, and two digs.

Lydiah Decker had three points, eight kills, and five digs for the Tigers, while Kali Bailey had two points (two aces), 10 kills, four blocks, and six digs, and RaeAnne Feeko had for kills, nine setter assists, and three digs.

Mia Hall registered four kills and block in the win, while Vanessa Tunnicliff had two kills and three assists, Mary Divers added two points and four digs, Samantha Golden chipped in with two points, and Kendra Noe recorded three digs.

Tioga, now 4-1, returns to action Tuesday at Whitney Point.

JV: Tioga pulled out a three-set win with a 25-18 victory over Edison in the third set.

The Tigers won the first set, 25-14, but the Spartans answered with a 25-14 win.

Lindsey Jeffrey led Tioga with six points (three aces), eight assists, three kills, one block, and two digs, while Kate Kithcart had five points (two aces), 10 assists, and four digs, Peyton Black registered six kills and three blocks, and Kaylyn Miller had seven points, including three aces.

Vida Rossi had two points, four assists, five kills, two blocks and two digs in the win, while Sadi Marshall had two assists and seven digs, Courtney Smith added three points, two assists, and two digs, and Sara Prough chipped in with two kills, and Brianna Lounsbury contributed four points, two digs, and two assists.
