TIOGA CENTER — Tioga battled a pesky Watkins Glen in the first set, but cruised in the next two sets on its way to a sweep here Wednesday night in IAC volleyball action.

The Tigers, now 7-2, won the first set 25-18, then closed out the match with wins of 25-6 and 25-8.

Lilly Mezzatesta led Tioga with 10 service points (two aces), five kills, one block, and four digs, while Kali Bailey had nine points, including five aces, eight kills, and five digs, and Kendra Noe had eight points (two aces) and seven digs.

Alyson Chamberlain had five points (three assists) and two assists in the win, while Jade Keaty had five points — all aces, and two digs, Audi Zorn had four points (two aces), four kills, and two digs, and Vanessa Tunnicliff registered four kills and two assists.

Mary Divers recorded a team-high five assists in the win, while RaeAnne Feeko had four assists, Lydiah Decker added four kills, and two digs, Christina Earley had two points, and Samantha Golden chipped in with two kills.

Tioga returns to action Friday when it hosts Horseheads.

JV: Tioga swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-6 and 25-11, and also won an exhibition set, 25-12.

Sadi Marshall led Tioga with 18 points, including five aces, while Riley Butler had 16 points (four aces) and six digs, Kate Kithcart had nine points (two aces), six assists, and four digs, and Brianna Lounsbury had nine points (three assists) and four digs.

Sara Prough has six points (two aces), three kills, two assists, and five digs in the win, while Lindsey Jeffrey had six points, three aces, and four digs, Kaylynne Miller had three points, two kills, and a team-high nine assists, and Courtney Smith added three points and three digs.

Vida Rossi and Peyton Black each registered four kills, one block, and two digs for the Tigers, and Amelia Toomey chipped in with two digs.
