CROSS COUNTRY: MINAKER, CHAMBERLAIN, HINE PACE WAVERLY'S EFFORTS AT BOB GREENE INVITE (21 PHOTOS) (2024-10-12)
Valley Sports ReportNEWARK VALLEY — Waverly senior Harper Minaker and junior Mackenzie Chamberlain posted top-15 finishes, and sophomore Chase Hine had a top-25 finish to pace Valley competitors here Friday afternoon at the Bob Greene Cross Country Invitational.
GIRLSMinaker finished 12th in a time of 22:02.0, and Chamberlain was 15th in 22:13.1 to lead the Wolverines to a sixth-place finish in the 13-team field.
Sophomore Taylor Sinsabaugh was 43rd in 24:48.0 for Waverly, while freshman Miah Correll was 57th in 26:02.7, and freshman Isabella Minaker was 96th in 28:30.3.
Senior Brooke Delmage paced Tioga with a 99th-place finish in a time of 29:06, while senior Alicia Bennett was 109th in 31:20, and sophomore Lacey Ward was 120th in 35:25.
BOYSHine finished 25th in a time of 18:24.1 to lead Waverly to an eighth-place finish in the 17-team field.
Junior Hayden Howe was 47th in 19:28.7 for the Wolverines, while senior Nic Mattison was 49th in 19:30.6, and freshman Hayden Montanye was 68th in 20:21.1.
Eighth-grader Colten Santaluccia finished 90th in 21:49.3, while sophomore Jayden Washington was 104th in 22:46.9, and freshman Garrett Akins was 129th in 28:08.5.
Junior Talon Wood finished 66th in a time of 20:14.8 to pace Tioga, and freshman Carter Allen was 130th in 33:00.7.
