WAVERLY’S KITTLE NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”On Tuesday, Kittle was a four-time winner to lead the Wolverines to a 91-84 win over Oneonta.
On Saturday, Kittle was involved in a trio of record-breaking performances at the rugged Elmira Swimming & Diving Invite.
She won the 50-yard freestyle, and also won the 100-yard backstroke, breaking her own school-record time. She is currently No. 1 in the state in the 50 free, and third all-time in Section IV in the 100 back.
Kittle also swam on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay, which is ranked No. 1 in the state, and the 400 free relay. Both broke school records, and 200 relay set pool and meet records as well.

TIOGA’S BROWNE NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”Browne accounted for three TDs — two on offense, and one on defense — to help Tioga to a 32-14 divisional win over Newark Valley.
Browne rushed for 157 yards and two TDs — both in the first half to help the Tigers to a 19-7 lead at the intermission.
Browne, who had 10 tackles — including two bone-crushing hits on kick coverage, a 40-yard return on a pick-6 to seal the win late in the fourth quarter.
