NTL VOLLEYBALL: CANTON TOPS ATHENS, 3-1 (2024-10-15)

CANTON — Athens avoided a sweep with a win in the third set, but dropped a 3-1 decision to Canton here Tuesday night in NTL volleyball action.

The Warriors opened the match with wins of 25-8 and 25-18. The Wildcats answered with a 25-18 win in the third set, but Canton closed out the match with a 25-20 win in the fourth set.

Senior Kassie Babcock led Athens with nine kills and 16 digs, and senior Keaton Wiles had 20 digs and six kills.

Senior Ella Coyle recorded 29 digs for the Wildcats, and senior Emma Renninger had 13 setter assists.

Athens, now 3-10, hosts Cowanesque Valley Thursday night.
