IAC VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA BATTLES PAST DRYDEN IN SWEEP (24 PHOTOS) (2024-10-16)
Valley Sports ReportDRYDEN — Tioga fought off a pesky Dryden to earn a hard-fought sweep here Wednesday night in IAC Large School volleyball action.
The Tigers, now 9-2 overall and 8-2 in IAC play, won by scores of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-20.
Audi Zorn led Tioga with eight service points, three kills, two blocks, and four digs, while RaeAnne Feeko had four points, six kills, seven setter assists, and six digs, Kali Bailey had three points, nine kills, two blocks, and seven digs, and Lilly Mezzatesta had three points, six kills, three assists, and seven digs.
Vanessa Tunnicliff had two kills, two blocks, and three assists in the win, while Alyson Chamberlain had five assists and three digs, Mary Divers had two points and five digs, Mia Hall added two points and two kills, Jade Keaty recorded six digs, and Christina Earley chipped in with two points.
Tioga returns to action Friday when it hosts Trumansburg.
JV: Tioga improved to 8-3 on the season with a sweep of Dryden by scores of 25-5 and 25-15.
Kate Kithcart led Tioga with 17 points, five assists, and two kills, while Courtney Smith had 11 points and two digs, Vida Rossi had nine points, four kills, one block, and three digs, and Brianna Lounsbury had seven points and three digs.
Lindsey Jeffrey had six points, six assists, six digs, and one block in the win, while Peyton Black registered six points, seven kills, and one block, Sadi Marshall had six points and five digs, and Kaylynne Miller added five points.
Riley Butler had four points and three digs for the junior Tigers, while Sara Prough had three kills and two assists, Amelia Toomey had three digs, and Aryah Lamb chipped in with two digs.
