IAC VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA SWEEPS DRYDEN IN REGULAR-SEASON FINALE; PULLS INTO SECOND-PLACE TIE WITH LANSING (24 PHOTOS) (2024-10-25)
Valley Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Tioga wrapped up the regular season with a sweep of Dryden to pull into a second-place tie with Lansing here Friday night in IAC Large School Division volleyball action.
The top two in the Large School Division will play in the Large School Championship game. Whitney Point (13-1) won the regular-season title. Tioga swept the season series from Lansing, but the two teams will play Tuesday at Lansing for the opportunity to play Whitney Point.
The Tigers, now 11-3, swept Dryden by scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-11.
Jade Keaty led Tioga with seven service points and eight digs, while Lilly Mezzatesta had five points, five kills, and eight digs, Mary Divers had five points, six setter assists, and two digs, and Alyson Chamberlain had five points, four assists, and three digs.
Kali Bailey registered four points, 14 kills, and nine digs in the win, while RaeAnne Feeko had eight assists and three digs, Audi Zorn recorded three blocks and two digs, Mia Hall added four kills and two blocks, and Kendra Noe chipped in with two kills.
JV: Tioga swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-10 and 25-12.
Kate Kithcart led Tioga with 11 points (two aces0, seven assists, and two digs, while Lindsey Jeffrey had nine points, including three aces, Sadi Marshall added seven points (two aces), and Brianna Lounsbury had six points (two aces) and two digs.
Riley Butler had five points and two digs in the win, while Vida Rossi had two points and three kills, Peyton Black registered three kills, and Courtney Smith chipped in with two digs.
