THE VALLEY — Senior Jake Browne had a record-breaking night to lead Tioga's to its biggest win of the season Friday, while Athens senior Sara Bronson punched her ticket for a return trip — her fourth — to the PIAA Cross Country Championships. They are the Valley Sports Report / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Oct. 26.

TIOGA'S BROWNE NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Browne not only broke school records for yards and TDs in a game in Tioga's rout of state-ranked Deposit-Hancock, he broke the Section IV record for yards in a game, and tied the Section mark for TDs in a game.

Browne rushed for 421 yards and eight TDs on 32 carries, including scoring runs of 22, 46, and 40.

Browne had 271 yards and five TDs in the first half alone.

ATHENS' BRONSON NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Bronson punched her ticket to the PIAA Cross Country Championships with a top-10 finish at the District 4, Class AA meet.

Bronson, a four-time state qualifier, had her best-ever finish at Districts — held annually at Bloomsbury University, finishing fifth in 19:36.
