IAC VOLLEYBALL: LANSING AVENGES PAIR OF LOSSES TO TIOGA; WINS DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF (16 PHOTOS) (2024-10-29)
Valley Sports ReportLANSING — Tioga got off to a good start, but Lansing rallied to avenge a pair of regular-season losses with a four-set win over Tioga here Tuesday night in an IAC Large School Divisional playoff.
After the Tigers won a 25-21 decision in the first set, the Bobcats, who will play Whitney Point Friday in the IAC Large School title game, won the next three sets by scores of 25-22, 25-14, and 25-20.
Lilly Mezzatesta led Tioga with five service points, seven kills, three setter assists, and nine digs, while RaeAnne Feeko had three points, three kills, eight assists, and three digs, and Kali Bailey had three points, 11 kills, and six digs.
Audi Zorn registered two kills and six blocks, while Mia Hall had three kills, and four blocks, Jade Keaty recorded 18 digs, Vanessa Tunnicliff added two kills, three blocks, and two assists, and Alyson Chamberlain had six assists and five digs.
Tioga, now 12-4, awaits its seed and opening-round opponent in the upcoming Section IV, Class C playoffs.
