THE VALLEY — The Athens boys soccer and volleyball teams will both vie for District 4 titles Wednesday night in the Williamsport Area.

BOYS SOCCER
District 4 Playoffs
Class 3A Finals
2-Athens (9-7-3) vs. 1-Selinsgrove (10-8-1), 6 p.m. @ Balls Mills Soccer Complex, Hepburnville: The Wildcats are coming off a 1-0 win over Shikellamy, while the Seals blanked Jersey Shore, 4-0.

This is Athens' first appearance in the Class AAA finals since 2019 when it lost to Selinsgrove, 2-0.

Athens lost 9-0 to Selinsgrove last year in the semifinals, and 7-0 in the 2022 semifinals.

VOLLEYBALL
District 4 Playoffs
Class 3A Finals
3-Athens (5-11) vs. 1-Shamokin (9-8, 6 p.m. @ Williamsport H.S.: The Wildcats are coming off a sweep of second-seeded Danville, while the Indians swept Midd-West.

CROSS COUNTRY
Tioga at IAC Championships, 4 p.m. @ Marathon:
