COLLEGE WRESTLING: ATHENS GRAD BRADLEY FINISHES SECOND AT ITHACA INVITATIONAL (2024-11-03)

Gavin Bradley, a junior at Castleton University, second at the Ithaca Invitational to help the Spartans to a team title here this weekend.
Bradley, the second seed at 125 pounds, won his first three matches before dropping an 18-8 major decision to top-seeded senior Josiah Fry of Johnson & Wales, who is a two-time NCAA Division III champion.
Bradley opened the weekend with a 41-second fall of Norwich's Ben Fournier, then received a medical forfeit in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, Bradley dominated sixth-seeded Cosmo Damiani of Ithaca in an 18-2 technical fall.
Bradley is coming off a sophomore season that ended with a seventh-place finish at Nationals, which made him an All-American. He had a 38-6 record with 13 pins.
Castleton returns to action Saturday at the Rhode Island College Open in Providence, R.I.
