THE WEEK AHEAD: SECTION IV FOOTBALL TITLE GAMES, STATE VOLLEYBALL, CROSS COUNTRY HEADLINE SCHEDULE (2024-11-11)

THE VALLEY — Tioga football and volleyball, and Waverly football will look to keep their seasons going — the football teams in Section IV championship games, and Tioga volleyball in the state quarterfinals, while a pair of Waverly cross country runners will compete at the State meet.

The following are all of the varsity postseason events this week:

FRIDAY (1)
•  Tioga will take on Delhi at Johnson City High School in its quest for its seventh consecutive Section IV, Class D title.

SATURDAY (3)
•  Waverly sends senior Harper Minaker and junior Mackenzie Chamberlain to the New York State Cross Country Championships at Queensbury High School.

•  Waverly football looks for a three-peat when it takes on Chenango Forks at Johnson City High School in the championship game of the Section IV, Class C playoffs.

•  Tioga will square off with Section III champ Jordan-Elbridge at Candor High School in the quarterfinals of the New York State Class C Volleyball Championships.
