THE VALLEY — Waverly junior Mira Kittle won four Class B swim titles, while Waverly sophomore Ben Shaw had a career game in leading the Wolverines to the Class C championship football game. They are the Valley Sports Report / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Nov. 9.

KITTLE NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Kittle won four events, setting two Maine-Endwell pool records, and one school record in the process, at Saturday's Class B Swimming & Diving Championships.

Kittle won the 100-yard backstroke in a school-record time of 56.79 seconds, and the 50-yard freestyle in a pool-record time of 24.28 seconds.

Kittle also swam on first-place 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relays.

Honorable Mentions: Waverly's Lauryn Welles (swimming), Tioga's Audi Zorn (volleyball), Waverly's Mackenzie Chamberlain (cross country), Waverly's Harper Minaker (cross country), Tioga's Kali Bailey (volleyball), Waverly's Megan Atanasoff (swimming), Tioga's Lilly Mezzatesta (volleyball), and Waverly's Audrey Kellogg (swimming).

SHAW NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Shaw shined on both sides of the ball in leading the Wolverines to their fourth straight Section IV championship game.

Shaw completed 12 of 14 passes for a career-high 306, and four TDs.

Defensively, Shaw also had 12 tackles, including two solo tackles, and 1/2-QB sack.
