MEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: WAVERLY GRAD WOODRING SCORES IN DOUBLE-FIGURES TWICE IN MANSFIELD'S FIRST THREE GAMES (2024-11-14)

Scott Woodring, a grad student on the Mansfield University men's basketball team, has scored in double-figures in two of the Mountaineers' first three games of the season.
In the season opener Saturday, a 90-73 los to Point Park, Woodring scored 17 points on 7 of 12 shooting from the field in just 20 minutes. He also had five rebounds, three steals, one assist, and one 3-pointer.
On Sunday, in an 87-47 loss to Claflin, Woodring was limited to four points, one assist and one steal.
In the home opener Tuesday, Woodring scored 10 points (4 of 5 from the field) and grabbed five boards in an 87-85 overtime loss to Penn State-Schuylkill. He also had one blocked shot.
Mansfield, now 0-3, returns to action Saturday when it hosts D'Youville.
