J.J. Babcock, a junior on the Elmira College men's basketball team, narrowly missed a double-double in helping the Soaring Eagles to an 85-70 win over SUNY Fredonia here Monday night at Spiedel Gymnasium.
Babcock scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds, including four off the offensive glass, to go along with three assists, and two steals.
He made 3 of 6 shots from the field, and hit his only 3-point attempt in 21 minutes of action.
Athens grad Aaron Lane, a senior, did not play in the win.
Elmira College, now 3-3, hosts Alfred State tonight at 5 p.m.
