AUBURN — The Tioga girls lost a pair of close decisions in a 2-2 split with Union Springs / Port Byron Wednesday, while the Tioga boys lost total-pinfall by 2 pins in a 3-1 loss in IAC bowling action here at Starlite Lanes.

GIRLS
Tioga 2, US / PB 2

US/PB won the first game 613-607 and the third game 612-605, while Tioga won the second game 655-577 for a total-pinfall victory of 1,867 to 1,802.

Selena LaFritz led Tioga with a 455 series, while Kelsey Helmich shot a 411, and Sabrina Ellis had a 350.

Liberty Magner added a 323 for the Tigers, and Katie Bleiler tacked on a 306.

Jenna Jump led US / PB with a 628 series, and Caroline Smead added a 610.

BOYS
US / PB 3, Tioga 1

Tioga won the first game 822-755, but US/PB bounced back with wins of 936-884, and 810-793 for a total-pinfall win of 2,501 to 2,499.

Nick Slater led the Tigers with a 585 series, including games of 200 and 204, while Austin Mumbulo shot a 578, including a 208, and Garrett Godfrey had a 511, including a 211.

Charles Holmes rolled a 483 for Tioga, while James Luther added a 342, and Skyler Nelson tacked on a 326.

Matthew Smead led US/PB with a 605, and Dylan Howell added a 560.

Tioga returns to action Wednesday against Thomas A. Edison at Dixie Lanes in Elmira.
