THE VALLEY — The final full week of action in 2024 is chock full of basketball, with quite a bit of wrestling mixed in.

There are 29 events on the docket this week, including six on Tuesday and six on Thursday.

The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

MONDAY (3)
•  The Athens boys host Cowanesque Valley on the basketball hardwoods.

•  The Waverly bowlers host STAC rivals Susquehanna Valley at the Valley Bowling Center.

TUESDAY (6)
•  Athens hosts NEB in an NTL wrestling dual.

•  Waverly hosts Chenango Forks in a STAC wrestling dual at the Elm Street School gymnasium.

•  The Sayre boys host Wyalusing in an NTL basketball match-up.

WEDNESDAY (4)
•  The Athens girls host North Penn-Liberty in an NTL basketball tilt.

•  Tioga hosts Marathon in an IAC wrestling dual.

•  The Sayre girls host Wellsboro in NTL basketball action.

THURSDAY (6)
•  Sayre hosts Williamson in NTL Small School boys hoop action.

•  Waverly hosts Windsor in a STAC boys swim meet.

•  The Tioga bowlers host Lansing at the Valley Bowling Center.

FRIDAY (5)
•  Athens hosts Selinsgrove and Wellsboro in a wrestling tri-meet.

SATURDAY (5)
•  The Athens girls host Benton in a non-league basketball match-up.

•  Tioga is in action at the rugged Linda Knutilin Memorial Wrestling Tournament at SUNY Niagara.

•  Waverly is in action at the Take Down Cancer Wrestling Tournament at Vestal.

•  The Athens girls are in action at the Elizabethtown Wrestling Tournament.
