STAC BOWLING: JOHNSON ROLLS 300 GAME, 700 SERIES TO LEAD WAVERLY BOYS IN SWEEP OF SUS VALLEY; LADY WOLVERINES ALSO POST SWEEP (2024-12-16)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY — Junior Derek Johnson capped his 751 series with a 300 game, and senior Dom Wood also rolled a 700 series to lead the Waverly boys to a sweep of Susquehanna Valley here Monday afternoon, while the Lady Wolverines also posted a sweep in STAC bowling action.
BOYS
Waverly 5, Susquehanna Valley 0Johnson rolled games of 196 and 255 prior to rolling the 300, while Wood banged out games of 258, 246, and 235 for a 739 series.
Colten Santalucia shot a 622 series for the Wolverines on games of 186, 219 and 217, while Maison Apgar had a 514, Tristan Campbell added a 505.
The Wolverines won the first game 956-796, then followed it up with wins of 1,072-909 and 1,103-929 for a total-pinfall victory of 3,131 to 2,634.
Anthony Starti led SV with a 660, and Harden Stringer had a 632.
JV BOYS
Waverly 3, SV 0Waverly swept the short-handed Sabers by a total-pinfall count of 2,007 to 1,263.
Griff Walter led the junior Wolverines with a 462 series, and Cameron Leary had a 436.
GIRLS
Waverly 5, SV 0Serenity Conklin and Karis Hayes led Waverly to a sweep of Susquehanna Valley in the girls match.
Conklin shot a 548 series, including a 234 in the first game, while Hayes rolled a 528, and Ariel Houseknecht had a 483.
Aby Apgar added a 353 series, and Rylie Witman tacked on a 327.
Allicyn Bisaha led SV with a 476 series.
Waverly opened the match with a 765-572, then followed it up with wins of 684-654 and 790-655 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,239 to 1,881.
Waverly returns to action Thursday at Chenango Forks.
