ATHENS' CLINK, SAYRE'S LANTZ NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"Clink posted a 4-0 record, with all four wins going via pinfall, to win the 2024 "Queen of the Hive" Tournament.
Clink had pins in 34 seconds, 1:31, 2:58 in the semifinals, and 1:14 in the finals.
Lantz averaged 6.5 points, 14 rebounds, and four steals in a pair of games.
She had 10 points, 15 rebounds, and four steals in a 33-24 win over Sullivan County — Sayre's first win since Jan. 30, 2023.
She followed that up with three points, 13 rebounds, and four steals in a loss at Towanda.

WAVERLY'S STOTLER NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"Stotler posted a 5-0 record to win the 116-pound bracket at the Dave Buck Memorial Tournament.
All five of Stotler's pins came in the first period in times of 22 seconds, 1:25, 56 and 23 seconds, and 1:21 in the finals.
Stotler also had a 61-second fall in Waverly's dual season-opening win over Owego.
