NTL JV BOYS BASKETBALL: WYALUSING BLOWS GAME OPEN IN THIRD QUARTER; TOPS SAYRE, 46-21 (2024-12-18)

SAYRE — Wyalusing used a 19-2 third-quarter blitz to blow open a close game in a 46-21 win here Tuesday night in NTL junior varsity boys basketball action.

Sayre's Carter Bleiler scored five points, including a 3-pointer, and Rommel Suba added a 3-pointer, but Wyalusing led 10-8 at then of the first quarter.

The Rams used a 7-3 spurt in the second quarter to take a 17-11 halftime lead. They led 36-13 heading into the fourth quarter.

Suba led Sayre with nine points, including, a pair 3-pointers, five rebounds, and two steals, Bleiler scored eight points, Brayden Northrop grabbed four rebounds, Jayden Morningstar knocked down a 3-pointer, and Shaine Strickland dished out three assists.

Sayre returns to action Thursday when it hosts Williamson.
