STAC BOWLING: CAMPBELL, APGAR ROLL 700 SERIES TO LEAD WAVERLY BOYS IN SWEEP OF FORKS; LADY WOLVERINES ALSO NOTCH SWEEP (2024-12-18)

BINGHAMTON — The Waverly boys rolled two 700 series, and two 600 series in a lopsided sweep of Chenango Forks, while the Lady Wolverines also posted a convincing sweep here Wednesday afternoon in STAC bowling action.

BOYS
Waverly 5, Chenango Forks 0
Waverly won the first game 968-725, and that was the closest of the three as the Wolverines followed up with wins of 1,112-723, and 1,284-781 for a two-point total-pinfall victory of 3,364 to 2,240.

Tristan Campbell banged out a 732 on games of 252, 237, and 243, and Maison Apgar shot a 712 on games of 169, 244, and 289 to lead the Wolverines.

Colten Santalucia rolled a 685 series on games of 192, 215, and 278, while Derek Johnson had a 653 series on games of 194, 200, and 269, and Dom Wood added a 572 series, including games of 216 and 205.

All five of Waverly's bowler bowled 200 or better in the second and third games.

Landon Butenko led Forks with a 587 series.

JV Boys
Waverly picked up a sweep over short-hand Chenango Forks, which had just three bowlers, by a total-pinfall count of 2,178 to 974.

Trevor Allen led Waverly a 479 series, while Nathan Lason shot a 464, and Cam Wood added a 431.

GIRLS
Waverly 5, Chenango Forks 0
Serenity Conklin and Karis Hayes each rolled 500 series to lead Waverly to a total-pinfall victory of 2,409 to 1,374.

Conklin shot a 518 series, including a 203 in the first game, and Hayes rolled a 507, including a high game of 193 in the second game.

Ariel Houseknecht shot a 497 for the Wolverines, while Rylie Witman had a 458, and Aby Apgar added a 507.

Waverly returns to action Jan. 6 when it hosts Owego.
