IAC JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: TIOGA RIDES FAST START TO 46-19 WIN OVER O-M (16 PHOTOS) (2024-12-19)
Valley Sports Report TIOGA CENTER — Tioga got out to a fast start, and cruised to a 46-19 win over Odessa-Montour here Thursday evening in IAC South Small School Division junior varsity girls basketball action.
Taliah Speer knocked down a pair of 3-pointers, and four of her teammates added a bucket in a 14-2 run in the opening stanza.
Peyton Black scored four points in the second quarter as Tioga used an 11-8 scoring advantage to take a 25-10 lead into the halftime locker room.
Speer canned another 3-pointer in the third quarter as Tioga used a 12-7 scoring advantage to up the lead to 37-17.
Black scored four points in a Tioga 9-2 run to end the contest.
Black led Tioga with 12 points, while Speer scored 10 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, Kaylynne Miller had eight points, Sadie Marshall added seven points, and Lydiah Decker chipped in with five points.
Alan Rounds led O-M with seven points.
Tioga returns to action Friday when it hosts Southern Cayuga.
