THE VALLEY — A battle of unbeaten NTL wrestling teams (Athens at Towanda), and a key STAC Central Division boys basketball game (Seton Catholic at Waverly) headline a busy Tuesday slate of action.

WRESTLING
Tioga (2-1) at Horseheads (18-4), 5:30 p.m. JV start:
The Tigers are coming off a 42-29 loss to Newark Valley, snapping a 44-match win streak, while the Blue Raiders topped Elmira, 57-16.

Athens (5-0 overall, 5-0 NTL) at Towanda (15-3,3-0), 7 p.m.:
The Wildcats are coming off a 46-30 win over Troy, while the Black Knights rolled over Wyalusing, 60-10.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Tioga (3-7 overall, 1-5 IAC South) at Groton (4-6, 3-3), 5:30 p.m. JV start:
The Tigers are coming off a 43-29 loss to Marathon Friday, while the Red Hawks edged Marathon, 51-50, Tuesday.

Seton Catholic (8-1, 5-0 STAC Central) at Waverly (7-3, 3-1), 5:30 p.m. JV start: The Wolverines are coming off a 68-44 win over Whitney Point Saturday, while the Saints topped Chenango Forks, 84-62.

In their first meeting of the season, Seton Catholic won at home, 91-41.

Wyalusing (1-8, 0-3 NTL Large) at Athens (2-9, 0-4), 6 p.m. JV start: The Wildcats are coming off a 58-23 loss at Troy, while the Rams dropped a 65-35 decision at home to North Penn-Mansfield.

Sayre (8-3, 3-0 NTL Small) at North Penn-Liberty (6-5, 2-1), 6 p.m. JV start: The Redskins are coming off a 58-33 win at Northeast Bradford, while the Mountaineers topped Canton, 63-48.
