SECTION IV WRESTLING: WAVERLY HOSTS SECTION IV DUALS WEDNESDAY (2025-01-19)

WAVERLY — The Section IV Duals are set for Wednesday at Waverly High School, with the Wolverines the number-2 seed in the six-team field.

For the first time since the inception of the New York State Duals, Tioga, the three-time defending state champions, will not have a chance to represent Section IV after posting a 3-3 duals record.

Unatego-Unadilla Valley (20-5) is the top seed and, along with Waverly (11-3), will receive a first-round bye.

In the quarterfinals, third-seed Maine-Endwell (8-2) will take on sixth-seed Oneonta (11-6), and fourth-seed Windsor (7-1) will square off with fifth-seed Newark Valley (5-0) at 4:30 p.m.

The semifinals will begin at 6 p.m., with the finals slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
