IAC BOWLING: SLATER LEADS TIOGA BOYS IN SWEEP OF O-M; LADY TIGERS ALSO SWEEP (2025-02-04)

WAVERLY — Nick Slater rolled a big 600 series to lead the Tioga boys to a sweep of Odessa-Montour here Tuesday, while the Lady Tigers earned a sweep against a short-handed O-M in IAC Small School bowling action.

BOYS
Tioga 4, O-M 0

Tioga won the first game 860-830, then followed it up with wins of 936-824, and 999-796 for a total-pinfall win of 2,795 to 2,450.

Slater banged out a 677 on games of 206, 257, and 214 to lead the Tigers, while Garrett Godfrey rolled a 584 series, including games of 205 and 203, and Austin Mumbulo shot a 557, including a 226.

James Luther had a 509, including a 202, in the win, while Charles Holmes added a 447, and Markel Wasting chipped in with a 427.

Perry Navestad led O-M with a 550 series.

GIRLS
Tioga 4, O-M 0

Kelsey Helmich shot a 557, including a 226, to lead the Tigers in a 2,355 to 1,149 total-pinfall win.

Selena LaFritz rolled a 492 for Tioga, while Liberty Magner shot a 436, and Katie Bleiler had a 434.

Sabrina Ellis added a 374 for the Tigers, and Paige Hicks tacked on a 356.

Abbey Grady led the three-bowler O-M contingent with a 400 series.

Tioga returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Union Springs / Port Byron.
