NTL BOYS & GIRLS SWIMMING: ATHENS BOYS, GIRLS POST BIG WINS OVER BLOOMSBURG (2025-02-05)

ATHENS — Sophomores Brayden Pettitt and Eli Hicks, and senior Ethan Hicks won four events apiece to lead the Athens boys to a 106-50 win over Bloomsburg, while juniors Evelyn Panek and Olivia Thompson were triple-winners to lead the Lady Wildcats to a 90-59 win here Thursday in non-league swimming & diving action.

BOYS
Athens 106, Bloomsburg 50
Joining Pettitt, Ethan Hicks, and Eli Hicks in the winner's circle were seniors Ryan Gorman and Ronel Ankam, who were both double-winners.

Pettitt won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:07.04, and junior Ty Lezak was third at 2:26.90.

Pettitt also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 58.95 seconds, and sophomore Austin Quattrini was third in 1:18.46.

Ethan Hicks won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 22.63 seconds, and Gorman was third in 24.48 seconds.

Eli Hicks won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 51.6 seconds, and Matt Rossettie was third in 1:00.52.

Eli Hicks, Pettitt, Ethan Hicks, and Gorman teamed to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:44.59.

Eli Hicks, Ethan Hicks, Ankam, and Gorman teamed to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:32.87.

Eli Hicks, Ethan Hicks, Pettitt, and Ankam teamed to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:28.84, and the Athens foursome of Rossettie, seniors Pierce Oldroyd and Josh Leonard and sophomore Jacob Shores finished second in 4:11.51.

Shores won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:00.95, and Quattrini was second in 6:07.52.

Shores finished second in 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:01.73, and Ankam was third in 2:01.83.

Leonard finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 59.64 seconds, and sophomore Dominic Musick was third in 1:06.99.

Lezak finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:11.69, and senior Aiden Oldroyd was third in 1:25.5.

GIRLS
Athens 90, Bloomsburg 59
Junior Elizabeth Denlinger was a double-winner, joining Panek and Thompson as multiple winners for the Lady Wildcats.

Panek won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.37 seconds, and Thompson was second in 26.99 seconds.

Thompson won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:09.15.

Panek, Leonard, Thompson, and Denlinger teamed to win the 200-yard freestyle really in a time of 1:48.5.

Panek, Denlinger, Thompson, and junior Kayla Marshall teamed to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:13.93.

Freshman Kaylee Bolt won the 1-meter diving competition with 100.2 points.

Senior Maryrose Bertsch won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 7:17.82.

Panek finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 59.58 seconds, and freshman Brooke Lyon was third in 1:05.74.

Denlinger finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:09.91, and senior Elizabeth Talada was third in 2:21.52.

Denlinger was also second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:19.65, and junior Madeline Henderson was third in 1:31.41.

Henderson finished second in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:39.97.

Kaitlyn Leonard finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:20.81.

Athens returns to action Saturday at the Williamsport Invitational.
