THE VALLEY — There are only three games on Friday's docket, but all three are boys hoop games, and all three are home games — at Sayre, Athens, and Tioga.

BOYS BASKETBALL
NEB (13-8) at Sayre (14-7), 6 p.m. JV start:
The Redskins are coming off a 67-53 win over Cowanesque Valley Wednesday, while the Panthers topped Canton, 58-46.

This is a big game in terms of second place in the Small School Division and a berth in the NTL Showcase, and for seeding in the upcoming District 4 playoffs.

Both teams are 9-6 in division play - 1 1/2-games behind North Penn-Liberty (10-4).

In the District 4, Class AA power ranking uses to determined seeds in the upcoming postseason, Sayre is third, and Northeast Bradford is fourth.

Sayre won the first meeting, 58-33, at NEB.

Troy (17-2) at Athens (8-11), 6 p.m. JV start: The Wildcats are coming off a 67-46 loss at North Penn-Mansfield, while the Trojans rolled to a division-clinching 80-50 win over Towanda.

The Trojans, who have won 13 consecutive games, won the first meeting, 58-23.

Union Springs (13-3) at Tioga (6-11), 5:30 p.m. JV start: The Tigers are coming off a 68-56 win over Odessa-Montour, while the Wolves topped Southern Cayuga, 65-54.
