NTL JV BOYS BASKETBALL: ATHENS RIDES QUICK START TO 46-27 WIN OVER NP-M (2025-02-07)
Valley Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Athens got out to a quick start and cruised to a 46-27 win over North Penn-Mansfield here Wednesday night in NTL junior varsity boys basketball action.
Gage Marmor knocked down a 3-pointer and scored five points, and Eli Hobday canned a 3-pointer to help Athens to a 14-5 first-quarter lead.
Lucas Schultz scored five points in the second quarter as the Wildcats used a 9-4 spurt to take a 23-9 lead into the halftime locker room.
Dom Robbins scored four points as Athens used a 9-7 advantage in the third quarter to extend its lead to 32-16 heading into the final seven minutes.
Robbins scored five points, while Schultz had added four points, and Lucas Greninger canned a 3-pointer as Athens nailed down the win with a 14-11 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Robbins led Athens with 13 points, while Schultz and Marmor scored nine points apiece, and Aiden Vanderpool added five points.
Athens, now 16-3, hosts Troy Friday night.
